Timeline

The hackathon will officially commence at 1:00pm on April 29th. Attendees will have until 8:30am on April 30th to submit their projects.

Eligibility

  • Attendees must be enrolled in Middle or High School
  • Teams must be 2-6 members
  • Include a Project built with the required developer tools and meets the above Project Requirements.
  • Must not include third party trademarks, or copyrighted music or other material unless the Entrant has permission to use such material.
  • Be the original work of the submitter, be solely owned by the submitter, and not violate the IP rights of any other person or entity.
  • Access must be provided to an Entrant’s working Project for judging and testing by providing a link to a website, functioning demo, or a test build. If Entrant’s website is private, Entrant must include login credentials in its testing instructions.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Prize categories include Best Beginner Hack, Best Web Hack, Best Game Hack, and Best Overall Hack.

Projects are judged by the following standard

  • Technological Implementation
    What were the technologies used to build the product and what is the functional quality of the project? 
  • Design
    Is the user experience and design of the project well thought out?
  • Potential Impact
    How big of an impact could the project have on the world or its target community?
  • Quality of the Idea
    How creative and unique is the project?
